Gregory A. Futch, 54, of Palatka passed away early morning on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Putnam Community Medical Center in the ICU. He was born February 26, 1963 in Pensacola, FL to Vicki and Edward Futch. Greg attended Palatka High School, and later worked in construction. He had also worked as a tree surgeon, until an accident prevented him from working. Greg always loved the water, especially the St. John's River. He was a certified scuba diver and dove fearlessly into places where many feared to go. He loved old antiques such as arrow heads and old prehistoric bones, etc.
Greg is preceded in death by his former wife, Paula Futch, his father, Edward R. Futch, grandmother, Mae M. Alford, grandfather, Guy W. Alford, an uncle, Garey R. Goodwin, his great grandmother and great-grandfather, two great-aunts, and one great-uncle.
He is survived by his mother, Vicki Futch, daughter, Christina Futch, brother Samuel Futch, aunt, Gloria Goodwin, uncle, Tony Licari (Elizabeth), first cousins, Debbie Kistler (Mark), and two second cousins, Matt and Tori Kistler, first cousin, Don Goodwin, half-sister, Ivey Largacci, and her daughter Lindsey Largacci.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. David Eddins officiating. Burial will follow at San Mateo Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services.
