Vicky Marie Knowles, 61, of Satsuma, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at her home following a lengthy battle with colon cancer. Born and raised in Marquette, Michigan, she resided in Putnam County since 1984 coming from Garden City, Kansas. Vicky was a human resources manager with several area companies including 10 years with Putnam Community Medical Center, 3 years with Seminole Electric, 6 years with LaFarge and most recently with Pyramid Mouldings in Green Cove Springs. Vicky was a member of Dunns Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time with her grandchildren as well as watching her grandsons play baseball.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mandy Bennett and a brother, Dudley Todd.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Hoyt Knowles of Satsuma, her parents, Jack and Mary Lou Todd of Satsuma, a daughter, Tracy Marie Cribbs and husband Lee of St. Augustine, 2 brothers, William Todd and wife Paula of Johnson City, TN and Richard Todd of Palatka, a sister, Teresa Benjamin and husband Mike of Tombstone, AZ and 4 grandchildren, Josie Leigh Bennett, Hunter Austin Cribbs, Dalton Lee Cribbs and Walker Lee Cribbs.
Services celebrating Vicky’s life will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Gerald Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill West Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 2:00 P.M. until the services at 3:00 P.M.
