George Junior Callaway, 71, of Interlachen, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his home following an extended illness. He was a native of Lincoln, Wisconsin and had been a resident of Interlachen for the past 17 years. He had worked as a carpenter for Jim Walter Homes in Jacksonville and had been involved in real estate. George was also the President of Missionaries For Jesus, Inc., which built affordable housing and supported pastors in Mexico.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia.
George is survived by his wife, Ruth Callaway of Interlachen; children, Keith, Michael and Kristen; and sisters, Alice, Evelyn and Mary.
Private burial will be held at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Mannville, FL.
