Mary LaROCHE
MARY F. LaROCHE
Mary Frances LaRoche, 72, of Palatka, passed
away Friday, April 16, 2010 at Palatka Health Care Center following
an extended illness. A native of Townsend, Georgia, she moved to
Palatka in the early 1960’s coming from Brunswick, GA. Mary worked
a number of places over the years, including Palm Pharmacy, the
snack bar at the Palatka Municipal Golf Course, Dollar General,
Burger King and at Goody’s Department Store in Palatka. She was a
member of Providence Baptist Church in Bardin. Mary loved to fish
for mullet and enjoyed gardening, especially growing roses.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
Kelly and Lena Moore, 2 brothers, William Moore and Ira K. Moore, a
sister, Alice Cameron and a niece, Lisa Burroughs.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Willa Jones
of Palatka and Gena Hammond and her husband, John of Palm Coast, 3
brothers, Tommy Moore and wife Ruby of Bardin, Luther Moore and wife
Linda of Cedar Key, Cleve Moore of Palatka, 2 sisters, Ruby Williams
and husband, Martine of Palatka and Doris Dukes and husband, Harry
of Palm Coast, 3 grandchildren, Alex DeAnzo and wife Amber, Amber
Bosley husband Jason and Emily Hammond, 3 great-grandchildren, Gage
Bosley, Paige Bosley, Ashley Leland, Alexis Marie DeAnzo and Kaelyen
DeAnzo and over 100 nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M.
Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor John
Cameron officiating. Visitation was Monday from 6-8 P.M. at
Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
