Obituary for Ronald WAYNE
RONALD E. “RONNIE” WAYNE
Ronald Edward “Ronnie” Wayne, 62, of East
Palatka, passed away, Friday, January 8, 2010 at Flagler Hospital in
St. Augustine following an extended illness. A native of Tifton,
Georgia, Ronnie lived in Putnam County since 1980 coming from
Valdosta, Georgia. He worked 30 years with Norfolk and Southern
Railway as a trainman and conductor. Ronnie loved fishing and was
an avid Nascar Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
Edward John Wayne and Sallie Belflower Wayne and a brother-in-law,
Wesley C. Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years,
Anna Marie Moody Wayne, 2 sons, Ronald E.
“Buddy” Wayne, Jr. and his wife, Kim of Quitman, GA, Bryan Wayne of
Palm Coast, 2 daughters, Kim Pate of Valdosta, GA and Laycee Wayne
of Palatka, a sister, Charlene Wayne Johnson of Valdosta, GA, 4
grandchildren, Kaleb, Elyssa, Brayden and Logan.
Services will be at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday,
January 12, 2010 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Federal Point
with Father Aaron Uitti officiating. Burial will follow at St.
Paul’s Cemetery in Federal Point. The family will receive friends
on Monday from 5-7 P.M. at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in
Palatka.
