NATHAN A. WISHON, SR.


Nathan A. Wishon, Sr., 69, of Satsuma,
passed away Wednesday May 18, 2011 at Putnam Community Medical
Center following a sudden illness. A native of Franklin County,
Virginia, he resided in Putnam County since 1985 coming from
Sanford. Nathan owned and operated Wishon Aluminum in Palatka for
the past 26 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
Connor and Alice Brewer Wishon, 2 brothers, Warren Wishon and
Seabert Wishon and 3 sisters, Cloie Phillips, Lena Corns and Joyce
Brandon.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years,
Rita G. Wishon of Satsuma, a brother, Fred Wishon of Oklahoma, 2
sisters, Hazel Richardson and husband Larry of Winston-Salem, NC and
Billie Mabry and husband Carl of Collinsville, VA, 6 grandchildren,
Ricky Wishon, Kalyn Wishon, Emily Wishon, Misty Wishon, Shelly
Wishon and Sarah Wishon and a great-grandson, Ethan Wishon.
The family will receive friends from 5-7
P.M. Friday, May 20, 20011 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in
Palatka.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday,
May 23, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Winston-Salem, NC.
Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkerstown, NC. The
family will receive friends Monday at the Hayworth-Miller from 1:00
P.M. till the time of services at 2:00 P.M.
