RUTH MURROW 

     Ruth Murrow, age 84, of St. Augustine, died Saturday January 10, 2009 at her sons home in Satsuma after a 25 year battle with ovarian cancer.  She was a native of Jacksonville and lived in St. Augustine for over 50 years.  She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in St. Augustine and had worked for 31 years as a nurse�s aid at Flagler Hospital on Marine Street.  She was a member of the Garden Club in St. Augustine and loved to bowl and work in her garden.  She was preceded in death by her husband, David Murrow and her parents, Mae Ola & Richard Hardee.

     She is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, Larry & Gail Murrow of Satsuma; daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Curtis Marcum of St. Augustine; sister & husband, Elizabeth & Charles Creeger of Fountain Valley, California; 4 grandchildren, Nancy Hamner & husband, Rick of Ft. Pierce, Lee Marcum & wife, Stacee of Goldsboro, N.C., Tommy Murrow & wife, Cyndi of Perry and Jamie Murrow & wife, Kristy of San Mateo; 6 great-grandchildren, Lacee Marcum, Jordyn Hamner, Lauren Hamner, Wyatt Murrow, Cole Murrow, and Taylor Murrow along with 3 nephews and 2 nieces in California.

     Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday January 12th at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.  Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery in Bardin.  Friends may call Monday from 10:00 � 11:00 A.M. at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.  Memorial donations can be made to: Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Florida, 32177.
