HECTOR A. CORCHADO 

Hector A. Corchado, 46, of Palatka, died Friday, December 26, 2008 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness.  He was a native of Puerto Rico and resided in Palatka since 1997 coming from Pompano Beach.  Hector had worked for the past 16 years as a mail carrier with the US Postal Service in St. Augustine.  He was a member of Grace Community Baptist Church in Palatka where he enjoyed going on outings with the youth.  He enjoyed golfing and fishing and was an avid baseball fan who collected Roberto Clemente baseball memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Ivonne Corchado of Palatka, 2 sons Zacharrian Corchado of New York City and Anthony Corchado of Palatka, a brother Axel Corchado of Orlando, a sister, Zacsivette Melendez of New York City.

Services will be held at 7:30 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Tommy Combs officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 PM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
