Barney Lee Beverly, Sr., age 64 of Florahome, passed away, Thursday, January 15, 2009 at St. Vincent�s Medical Center in Jacksonville. A native of Blackshear, GA, he had resided in Florahome since 1993 coming from Jacksonville. He owned and operated his own lawn care business, E.B. Lawn Service and had previously worked as a die maker for Ernie Tool & Die and Commercial Die Company both in Jacksonville. Barney was the 1^st Animal Control Officer in Putnam County in the early 1970�s. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Barney is survived by his wife of 32 years, Wanda Beverly, son, Andy Beverly and wife, Sheila, daughter, La Wanda Harper and husband, Forrest, brother, Ernest Melvin Beverly, Jr. and wife, Sue all of Florahome, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
