WINONA SCHULTE Winona Schulte, age 83 of Gainesville and formerly of East Palatka, passed away, Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Spring Hill Senior Health Care Center in Gainesville. A native of Comstock, Oregon, she had resided in Gainesville for the last 3 years and had lived in East Palatka since 1965 moving there from Massachusetts. For 23 years, Winona was a Professor at Flagler College, teaching History and Education. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and together they had been around the world 3 times and had also visited all 50 states. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, E.W. “Bill” Schulte, a sister-in-law, Loretta Huddleston of Gainesville and numerous nieces and nephews. No services are scheduled at this time.
