JUANITA WARREN Juanita Warren, age 79, of Palatka, passed away Monday August 31st at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center after a short illness. She was born in Franklin County, Tennessee, May 4, 1930 and moved to Palatka in 1946. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Delzell and Arah Acklen Delzell, who lived in Decherd, Tennessee. Juanita was a homemaker, an insurance agent, school crossing guard, and a teacher’s aid in the Putnam County School System. Juanita always put everyone first and will be remembered for her happy disposition and positive attitude. Her most pleasurable moments were spending time with her family. Her three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Patrick, and Brady, were the love of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin W. “Bill” Warren, a brother, Dwight Delzell, a sister, Faye Gordinier, all of Palatka. She is survived by her three children, Dr. Billie Warren and her husband, Dr. Chet Algood of Gainesville, Suzanne Ryan and husband, Mike of East Palatka, and Dr. Michael Warren and wife, Melinda of Gainesville; grandchildren, Zachary Warren and Amy Fields; brothers, Earl F. Delzell and wife, Nell, of Nashville, Tennessee and John M. “Jody” Delzell and wife, Kathleen, of East Palatka; sister, Margaret Payne & husband, Bill of Palatka; 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held Thursday September 3rd from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka. In celebration of her life a memorial video will be shown. Private family entombment services will be held at Palatka Memorial Gardens with Rev. Karl N. Flagg officiating.
