ARTHUR  H.  GOULD, III   

    Arthur Herbert Gould, III, 78, of Palatka, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness.  A native of Medford, Massachusetts, he resided in Palatka since 1955 coming from Boston, MA.  Mr. Gould was a U.S. Navy veteran..  He worked as an instrument mechanic at Georgia Pacific, retiring in 1992 after 37 years of service.  As his pass-times, he loved model trains, fishing and researching genealogy.  He also dearly loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. 

    He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Margo Gould of Palatka, daughters, Shannon Suttlemyre and husband James of Olive Branch, MS, Karen Terzian and husband David of Middleburg, son, Richard Gould of Saugatuck, MI, 4 grandchildren, Clayton Clifton, Patrick Suttlemyre, Daniel Johnson and Megan Johnson and a great-granddaughter, Ruby Clifton.

    Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with The Reverend James M. Dorn, III, Rector officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill West Cemetery.  The U.S. Navy will also conduct military honors.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
