VERNELL F. “BILLIE JO” TAMULYNAS

 Vernell F. “Billie Jo” Tamulynas, 74, of Palatka, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness.  She was a native of Greensboro, South Carolina and resided in Palatka for the past 26 years, coming from Maulden, Mass.  She had worked many years as a home health care provider.  She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Tamulynas.

She is survived by 2 sons, James “Rob” Hayes of Palatka and Ray Hayes of Salem, NH, daughter Debra Andella, and husband, James of Quincy, Mass., her mother Retha Worley, of Palatka, 2 sisters, Barbara Ann Crawford of Jacksonville, and Jane Dennick of Palatka, 3 grandchildren, Jessica Byrd and husband Josh of Palatka, James R. Hayes, II and his fiance Christina, of  Daytona Beach, Debra Hayes of ,Salem, NH, 4 great grandchildren, Zoe Byrd, Ashleigh Hayes, Amanda Andella, and Charles Andella.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Bro. Sam Stutto officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.  Family will receive visitors from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

HELLO LOVING COUSINS AND FAMILY, I AM SO SURE THAT GOD IS REALLY ENJOYING YOUR MOM RIGHT NOW--HER SMILE AND GENTLE NATURE.  LOTS OF TEARS AS I'M WRITING THIS--THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER LIKE AUNT BILL.

I HAVE SO MANY MEMORIES OF AUNT BILL AND UNCLE CHARLIE.  I REALLY LOVED THEM BOTH AND THAT HOME WAS THE ICING ON THE CAKE.
I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THEM ALL AGAIN SOMEDAY IN HEAVEN.  UNCLE CHARLIE SKETCHING, AUNTY BELL KNITTING AND WELCOMING US WITH A CUP OF COFFEE (IF IT EXISTS IN HEAVEN) AND ALL OF THEM LAUGHING AND TELLING US WHAT HEAVEN IS LIKE.  MY LOVE TO YOU ALL DEAR COUSINGS...
