MILDRED E. POWELL

Mildred E. Powell, 73, of Palatka, died Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a short illness.  A native of Canton, NC, she had lived here since 1964 coming from Canton.  She had attended Bethany Baptist Church and had worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years. She enjoyed crafts and loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas L. Williams, Jr. and wife, Ruth and David Johns  and a daughter Teresa Feurtes, a sister, Dorothy Cable, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Bardin with Brother Joe Young officiating.
