Lance J. �Dud� Stark, Age 52 of Palatka, passed away, Monday, February 2, 2009 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a short illness. A native of Cottonport, LA, he had resided in Putnam County since the age of 5, coming from Louisiana. Since 1995 he had been the owner and operator of Ranco Plastering in Bostwick. He was a member and Deacon of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Bardin. Dud enjoyed horse racing and chicken fighting. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen Stark, mother, Fannie Admire and husband, Jerry of Rentz, GA, father, Lance Stark of Metairie, LA, a son, Justin Stark and wife, Ali, a daughter, Amber Stark all of Bostwick, 3 brothers, Corey Driggers, Dwight Driggers of Bostwick, Ronnie Stark of Metairie, LA, a sister, Diana Lynn Stark of Colorado, 4 grandchildren, Mason Stark, Lane Stark, Luke Kirkland, Cody Stark and 2 uncles, Buck Williams and Buddy Williams. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Bardin with Reverend Joe Young officiating. Burial will follow in Decoy Cemetery in Clay County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Karen - I just learned of Dud's death a few minutes ago. I am filled with sadness for your loss. I know I haven't been around during your marriage but I was there when y'all were young and dating and getting serious and I have not forgotten many of the conversations we had during those times.
